    Hello Dear,

    No CDS is not a technical exam. this is the exam of defense sector . this exam fill the vacancies in Indian army , Air Force, Navel, OTA.

    Mechanical candidate are eligible for this exam. and there is no specific syllabus for mech. student. syllabus is unique and it is same for all candidate.

    Eligibility Criteria For CDS is

    candidate should be completed graduation
    for Air force graduation with subject MATHS and PHYSICS
    candidate who are appearing final year exam are also eligible

    Age Limit
    For Indian Military Academic 19 to 24
    For Officer Training Academy 19 to 25
    For Naval 19 to 22
    For Indian air force 19 to 23

    CDS stands for Combined Defence Services Exam,it is not a technical exam.
    Syllabus for CDS Exam is common for all graduates.
    Candidates join the officers cadre in the defence services through CDS.
    UPSC
    conducts the Combined Defence Services(CDS) Examtwicea year.
    Through CDS candidates
    join the Naval Academy,Airforce Academy,Indian Military Academy(IMA) and Officers Training Academy(OTA).


    Eligibility For CDS Exams :
    Age Limit :OTA-19-25yrs
    IMA-19-24yrs

    Airforce Academy-19-23yrs

    Naval Academy-19-22yrs


    There is no relaxation of age limit for any category of candidates.
    Educational Qualification :Minimum educational qualification is graduation from a recognised University.Final year appeared/appearing candidates can apply provionally.

    OTA & IMA-graduation in any dicipline from a recognised University/equivalent.

    Airforce Academy-B.Sc with Physics and/or Maths / B.E. in any discipline from a recognised University.

    Naval Academy-B.Sc with Maths and Physics/B.E. in any discipline from a recognised University.
    Exam Scheme :Exam pattern consists of :
    1.Written exams and 2.Interviews.


    For IMA,Airforce and Naval Academy written Exams :

    Elementary Maths(Objective type)-100 marks

    Engilish(Objective type)-100 marks

    General Knowledge(Objective type)-100 marks


    SSB Interviews
    -300 marks


    For OTA Written exams :

    Engilish(Objective type)-100 marks

    General Knowledge(Objective type)-100 marks


    SSB Interviews
    -200 marks

    CDS exam for the recruitment of defence officer not for technical post or job.If you can apply you have following eligibility-
    1> Age limit - 19 to 25v years.
    Education - must be degree in any stream.
    Nationality - Indian.
    Candidates must be Indian.
    CDS Exam Pattern -
    Written exam clear candidates call for interview and then medical.
    written exam -
    1>English
    2>General Knowledge.
    3>Elementary Maths.


    Good Luck and be prepare for CDS 2013 exam.

    dear friend,

    CDS exam is related to Defence Services. through CDS exam

    you can join Army, Navy, Air force.

    UPSC conduct IES exam for the post in technical field. for IES

    exam you need Engineering degree.

    Eligibility Criteria For IES:


    >>Engineering degree from recognized college or university


    AGE LIMIT:


    General Category: 21 to 30 years
    OBC Category: 21 to 33 years
    SC/ST Category: 21 to 35 years

    you must have attained the lower age limit on 1 January of the

    year of exam and you should not have attained the upper age limit

    on similar date.
