Hello
Let me tell you something, about CDSE.
CDSE stands for Combined Defence Service Examination-It is a entrance exam, that allows entry in all three wings through
IMA(Indian Military Academy)-entry in army,OTA(Officers Training Academy)-a entry in army,AFA(Air Force Academy)-a entry in air force,NA(Naval Academy)-a entry in navy.
Now for Air Force,CDSE allows entry in Flying Branch, that is pilot Branch.
There are three steps of selection in CDSE
1)Written Exam.
2)SSB(Service Selection Board) interview.
3)Medical Fitness.
If you successfully clear all three stages, then you will be appointed as a pilot in the flying branch in Air Force.
CDSE allows you entry in Flying Branch, not in technical or ground duty.
For ground duty and technical it is the AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test).
But AFCAT also allows you entry in Flying Branch, actually it is for all three branches, but CDSE is only for AFCAT.
A old notification of CDSE is uploaded for your notification.
