Which course between BBA and B.Com will be more helpful to crack UPSC exam? I completed 12th by commerce stream (Accounting & Maths)

I am Nitesh. I want to know which course will be helpfull to crash UPSC main exams :-

BBA or B.Com

I have done 12th by commerce stream (Accounting&Math).

It is nice that you want to join UPSC civil services exam. You can take any stream in your graduation to crack civil services exam.

As you know that civil services exam consist;-

Preliminary exam, Mains exam and Interview

You have to concentrate on GK and General studies papers.

Exam pattern;-

Civil services Preliminary exam consist two papers of General studies having 400 marks.
2 hours are given to each General studies papers.
Civil services Mains exam pattern changed from this year.
Now Any Indian Language papers consist 100 marks as qualifying marks.
English language papers consist 100 marks.
Essay papers marks is same as previous.
Now general studies papers consist 500 marks.
There will be last stage of Interview which consist 275 marks instead of 300 marks.

It is nice that you have to done 12th with math subjects. Basic Math subjects also Help you to crack civil services exam.

Both B.COM and BBA are good but you need to understand that,in most of the UPSC exams,the subjects which are required much are mostly of the arts and humanities stream.The UPSC conducts many exams and in that there are few which have mainly humanities and arts subjects.

In UPSC exams,subjects like Indian history,Indian Geography,civics,political science,80% subjects belong to humanities department.Hence it does not really matter as between BBA and B.COM,what are you going to choose.Instead if you had went for B.A,that would have helped you a lot.

If you have completed 10+2 in commerce subjects, then it will be better for you to do B.Com. But it depends upon you that which subjects is more comfortable to you. There is no such bad or good things in choosing the stream to crack the UPSC examination. The syllabus and methods of selection is same for all types of candidates.
