Am I eligible to appear in CDS II exam this year being a BBA (Aviation) student? Can I attend CDS exam on the basis of 12th certificate?

Hello, I'm a student of BBA(Bachelor of business administration) in aviation and my DOB is 22/03/1994 and i'm 19 years old. I passed 12th standard in the 2012 with good marks in Physics and Mathematics. I want to appear for the CDS II 2013 exam to join the Indian Airforce. As of now I do not possess a bachelor degree in engineering and i'm pursuing my BBA. Am I eligible to answer the CDS exam with only my 12th pass certificate(in Physics and maths)? Also let me know the date for the CDS II 2013 exam.Thank you

There is no problem with that.You are perfectly eligible for Air Force Academy.One needs to have a degree from a recognised university with Physics and Mathematics at 12th level OR Degree in Engineering.As you are under the 1st category you are eligible.Your age is also under the limit stated.You can definitely apply for AFA through CDS II.For Indian navy they ask for degree in Engineering or Degree in Physics or Mathematics only.
The date of starting of registration is perhaps from 25th May 2013.You can check in the website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in under the link examinations.All the best

Friend, please note that# If your age would be below the age of 19 years, then you have the option of applying NDA Examination on the basis of 10+2.# But now you are pursuing BBA degree. Hence you are under-graduate. For CDS Examination, only graduates in any disciplines are eligible. But being under-graduate, you are presently NOT ELIGIBLE for the CDS Examination.# You will be eligible for CDS Examination only after completion of graduation degree.# If you want to join the Indian Airforce, then you can join airforce on the basis of your BBA degree also. Candidate with Non-Engineering degree are eligible for Flying Branch as well as Ground Duty Branch of the Air Force.
