Scra stands for special class railway apperentices exam...Candidates are first required to give a written exam after which shortlisted candidates are called for an interview and finally a merit list is prepared...There are 44 seats in upsc-scra exam out of which 2 belong to PH quota...the candidates here are taught mechanical engineering and are absorbed by railways...
UPSC SCRA exam is for the appointment of Special Class Railway Apprentices in Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.
It provides one of the most brilliant carriers after class 12th.
Eligibility : Intermediate or Senior Secondary (12 years) Examination under 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics & Cheministry as subjects of the Examination in 1st or 2nd Division.
Age limit: 17 - 21 years

The UPSC SCRA Exam Paper-I is on General Ability Test which consists of English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test.
- UPSC SCRA English Syllabus: The UPSC SCRA exam English question paper is designed in such a way to examine candidate's understanding of English and to test their English grammar and vocabulary.
- UPSC SCRA Syllabus for General Knowledge: General Knowledge and current affairs questions are set to examine the candidate�s general awareness of the environment around their society. The General Knowledge Syllabus of UPSC SCRA 2012 exam includes on topics related to Man and his environment, Knowledge of the human body, Solar system and the earth, History, Politics and Society in India. Constitution of India and its characteristic features, India's foreign policy and non-alignments, Broad features of Indian social systems, Division of labour, co-operation, conflict and competition, Social control, Social Disorganization in India, Social planning and welfare in India, Money.
- UPSC SCRA Syllabus for Psychological Test: The Psychological test is conduct to assess candidate�s basic intelligence and mechanical aptitude.

SCRA Stands for Special Class Railway Apprentice Examination and conducts once in a year . This is year notification was already released and exam also already completed .
To apply for SCRA Exam , you must have passed your 12th exam with Mathematics and at least have a one of following subjects of Physics and Mathematics in any from a recognized School or equivalent qualification OR those who are completed graduate degree may also eligible .
You should have attained the age of 17 years and must not have attained the age of 21 years and Upper age limits is applicable for reserved categories . Three years for OBC candidates and five year for SC/ST candidates .

eligibility criteria for SCRA:
candidate must have completed intermediates with minimum 50 %.
age of the candidates must lie between 19 to 21 years.
candidates belonging to OBC and SC/ST category will get age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.
