Q:I want to know about differ between UPSC EXAM & GROUP 1 EXAM in Tamil Nadu.


A:The basic difference between UPSC and Group exam is that:
UPSC exam is whole national wide exam where there are limitation on the number of attempts on the candidates.
If you got selected through UPSC then you will be given pots like:
IAS
IPS
IRS etc. which are of very prestigious jobs all over the country.


Where as the group 1 exam is state wide wide.
If candidate got selcted through Group 1 exam then he will be given posting as
RDO
MRO etc.
Which are also prestigous posts but not higer cadre posts compared to UPSC jobs.
