Eligibility 1 student must be indian 2.Number of AttemptsFour attempts for open, seven for OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs. dear friend IES (Indian engineering services) is a very renowned exam conducted by upsc every year .To clear this exam one needs a lot of dedication and hard work as far as eligibility is concerned you must have completed your engineering in the prescribed branch or must be in final year and for age it is 21-30 for the general candidate and 21-33 for the obc and 21-35 for sc/st so if you fulfill the criteria just go to the website upsc.gov.in and wait for the notification made by the upsc and work hard all the very best buddy

Eligibility Criteria: 1. You must have a B.Tech. or Engineering Degree from a Recognized university.
2. The AGE LIMIT of IES examination is 21 to 30 years on 1 August of Exam Year i.e. if you appear in 2012 IES exam then you must have been born not earlier than 02 August 1982 and not later than 1 August of 1991.
You are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (not for ST/SC candidates). You can pay it by Bank Challan or by Debit/Visa card directly online.
You have to scan a photo of yours in .jpg image which is between 3 kb to 40 kb and 1 kb for signature which is also scanned.
You can go for the job of Indian Railway Service of Engineers, Indian Railway Stores Services, Central Engineering Service, Indian Defense Service of Engineers etc.
