The Indian Foreign Service is the foreign service under Group A and Group B of Central Civil Services of the executive branch of the Government of the India.
Exam date: Prelim 1st week of May and main in 2nd week of October
Eligibility Criteria:
Age Limit: 21 year must be completed on 1st August of the year and maximum 30 year for general Category, 33 for OBC and 35 for SC/ST. Ex-servicemen will get 5 more years exemption for age.
Total Attempts:
General: 4 attempts
OBC: 7 attempts
SC/ST: no limit
Exam Pattern:
All India Combined Competitive Examination for Civil Services conducted by the Union Public Service Commission have two stages:-
1) Prelim Exam: This exam is of objective type questions and this is qualifying exam.
2) Main Exam: This exam have written paper and interview.
