well CDS exam is a very elementary exam with questions from
10 standard Maths and english...and General Awareness
Each section has 200 questions
in 2 hours.
That means an easy exam ... and so you have to be really through with your preparation
as easy papers suit all... so only the well prepared can solve so many questions in
so little time with accuracy.
for maths:: R.S.aggarwala books are good, you can also refer to arun sharmas CAT books.. but level 1 questions only .. with a little level 2
For English:: wren n martin grammar
for gk:: unique publication CDS guide, year book(manorma etc)
you should also read magazines like:: csc csr pratiyogita darpan.
for good gk

1.learn high school grammer like by wren & martin for the comprehensive or enlish part of the CDSE
2.learn NCERT BOOKS FROM class III to XII,fro the general studies.
3.start reading two good level competitive magazines like compeptition success review,prtiyogita darpan,frontline for the current affairs.
4.purchase a good ATLAS,learn it heartly.
5.order correspondance study material (though it is optional upto you)

Information about tips to clear UPSC CDSE examination : If you want to clear UPSC CDSE examination then you have to make a proper stregries to crack Combined Defence Service Examination.

1) First you have to prepare a strong topics and take general test for practice purpose .

2) You should be aware with syllabus of UPSC examination and if you want to select in this examination then prepare well .

3) You have to prepare from top coaching study materials .

4) Before 1 month of examination you have to revise whole syllabus .

Dear friend first of all you are able to do good in three subjects in this include mathematics,english and gerneral awareness.These are enough to achieve cds exam but you have to practice these sessions repeatedly then you will definatly clear UPSC CDS exam.And also time management is also very important while you are practicing or while you are writing exam because each question can have only 1.6 min to do so if you know the process of perticular problem then only do it otherwise leave it.And important point is here there are 3 sessions so in each and every session you have to qualify.Otherwise your declared as a not qualified member.Use some elementary study materials for maths and english and come to general awareness if the exam will be held on aug then you will prepare the things that are happened befor 6 months means you have to prepare upto feb month this is enough to success in CDSE exam any way all the best my frnd

you just need to follow few steps to make your preparation well,

first you need to set your time for the preparation.
after that you should manage your time for the preparation.
then make a time table and include every subject in that.
give justice to every subject.
solve previous years question papers to see your level of preparation.


also you can prefer those csandidates who cleared the previous exams,
you can have ideas from them to do good preparation.
