    Going to retire from Defence service at the age of 33 yrs. Will I then be eligible for IAS/IPS or UP PCS exams?

    hello sir
    i am serving in defence and retiring in 2014 at the age of 33 yrs. i got 45% in graduation. can i eligible for IAS IPS or UP PCS exam

    YES YOU ARE ELIGIBLE FOR APPLYING IN IAS,IPS OR OTHER SERVICES.
    The criteria for applying in various civil services is follows
    1)The candidates must have completed graduation.
    2)No percentage bar.
    3)Age limit is
    21 to 30 years for general candidate
    21 to 33 years for OBC(Other Backward Classes)
    21 to 35 years for ex government serviceman.
    21 to 35 years for SC/ST.

    As you were a officer in defence force,you will get a upper age relaxation of 5 years,that will do for you.
    Hence you are eligible for IAS,IPS etc exams.

    There is no percentage bar for civil services.

    yes you are eligible for upsc civil services examination, since the age limit for ex-defence personnels is 21-35 years.
