I am an Army officer (short service commission) with 2.5 yrs of service and 26 yrs of age, can I appear in IAS/IPS exams?
Is there any reserved percentage of seats for army officers or any other kind of relaxation in these exams?

To become an IAS or IPS officer you would be appear in Civil Service Exam

For this candidate must be Graduate any stream from any recognized university

Age Limits :

For General 21-30 year
For OBC 21-33 year
For SC/ST 21-35 year

Ex-Servicemen +5 year

So dear there is 5 year age relaxation only for Ex-Servicemen

yes you can appear in civil services exam. the age limit for ex-defence personnels is: 21 to 35 years. but there is no reservation criteria.
