dear if you want to become an IAS officer then you will have to clear civil service exam through UPSC. In this exam will have three step which you have cleared to get IAS officer post.
1. Prelims Exam.
2. Mains Exam.
3. Interview.

Candidate should be a graduate from a recognised university.
Age of the candidate should be between 21 years to 30 years.

The whole process of IAS is as follows :-
IAS is a civil service exam conducted every year in India BY Union Public service commission.It is very good to see that candidate like you are going for the exam and want to get a reputed post through IAS. 2. Graduation must be done from a recognized university
3. Only Indian citizen are eligible
4. Age limit is 20-30 years

7. Attempts are also limited that is why a thorough preparation in mandatory.
8. No minimum percentage criteria for IAS.

After completing IIT or CA you can apply for the Civil Service exam to be an IAS officer.
So friend you should apply for the Civil Service exam. This exam is planned by the Union Public Service Commission once in a year.
To apply for this exam you must have following eligibility criteria:
You should have graduation degree in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.
Age should be between 21 to 30 years.
Age relaxation is available for the eligible category
SC/ST + 5 years
OBC + 3 years
PH + 10 years
You must have Indian citizenship.
You can apply for the civil service exam through UPSC official website.
UPSC will update the notification on 2/2/2013.
