    How to enter into LIC? What are the entrance exam for the same and who conducts these exams?

    I have heard that there is a lot of money in LIC so i want to know the procedure to get into LIC.Does the exam is conducted by UPSC or any other body.Please reply?

    LIC of India conducts exam every year for various posts. You can apply for the same by visiting the site www.licindia.in/careers.htm
    This is not conducted by UPSC but solely by LIC company.

    LIC conducts exams for various post in LIC itself.
    LIC exams are not conducting by UPSC.

    The big brother of the Insurance industry in India is LIC (Life Insurance Corporation), which employs over 100,000 people.
    There are certain exams conducted by LIC to appoint proficient candidates in their administration.
    AAO(Assistant Administrative Officer) exam is often conducted by LIC. Here is the details of the Exam pattern , Syllabus & the nature of the post.
    >>Age limit:21-30 years age relaxation for specified reserved candidates as per govt rules.



    >>Education qualification: AAO (Generalist): Bachelor Degree with 55% (45% for SC-ST) from recognized university.
    AAO (CA): An associate member of the institute of charted accountants of India (ICAI)
    AAO(Company Secretary): A member of the institute of company secretaries of India (ICSI)
    AAO (Legal): LL.B. with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and minimum three years experience at the Bar.



    >>LIC AAO Exam Pattern details:

    LIC AAO Exam pattern consists of written test and interview
    Written test: This is objective test with 4 sections Time 2 hrs for 140 Marks
    1. Reasoning Ability
    2. Numeric Ability
    3. General Knowledge & Current Affairs
    4. English Language with special emphasis on grammar and vocabulary

    Descriptive paper: Test of essay, Pr�cis and Comprehension in English. Time 1 hour For 50 Marks.
    Interview: Depending upon the no of vacancies those who qualified with high marks of merit are called for interview in the ration of 1:3.



    >>LIC AAO Syllabus details:


    Written test this is test of objective test with 4 sections and descriptive paper.



    Objective test:


    1. Reasoning Ability
    2. Numeric Ability
    3. General Knowledge & Current Affairs
    4. English Language with special emphasis on grammar and vocabulary


    Descriptive paper: Test of essay, Pr�cis and Comprehension in English.



    >>Work Type: AAOs can select any of the areas from Administration, Development and Accounts. While the AAOs (Administration) manage policy making, policy claims up to certain limit, inspecting clauses and details, filing official returns and statements to higher regional offices etc.

    The Development AAOs is concerned with marketing and procurement of business, meeting prospective clients, endorsing the policies and receiving contracts. The Accounts AAOs manage the funds including incomes and expenses of the corporation.



    >>AAO Salary: Basic pay of 17240/- per month in the scale of 17240-840(14)-29000-910(4)32640 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments will be approximately 27000/- in a city like Mumbai. Other benefits are Gratuity, Defined Contribution Pension, LTC, Medical Benefit, Group Savings Linked Insurance (GSLI), Group Term Insurance, Vehicle (2 wheeler/4 wheeler) Advance, etc as per rules of the Corporation. Staff Quarters / Leased Accommodations wherever available are generally provided on transfers subject to rules and regulations of the Corporation.
