dear friend UPSC surely conducts the exam for the post but there are very less vacancies for this post the age limit is upto 45 years and the exam is consist of two phases one is the writtten and the second is the interview and merit is based on the performance of candidate in both these exams so you can check more details at upsc.gov.in

Hello,
Yes Of course UPSC conducts exams for post for Programmers. You can be the "Assistant Programmer" in CBI i.e. Central Bureau Of Investigation.
This test or exam is of two hours exam. Medium of Examination is English only.
Objective type question will be asked of 100 marks in this exam.
Syllabus: Programming in C++, Visual basic, Visual C++, Programming in .Net, ASP, PHP, Java, Programming in RDBMS languages, Oracle, Windows & Unix Operating Systems, Essentials of networking (LAN/WAN) including network administration, Computer Security Administration
