In the UPSC CSAT exams there are two papers.
Both these Papers will have questions in Objective Mode only
CSAT is just an test which will select candidates who will face the UPSC Mains exams
200 Marks will be there for each paper in CSAT exams.
Questions papers will be set in both English and Hindi.
But the questions of English Comprehension will be set in English only
You have to clear both the papers in the CSAT exams.
Normally 10-12 times the candidates will be selected from the CSAT exams to the mains exams .
So if total vacancies are 1000 in the UPSC Civil Services exams than approx 12000 candidates will be selected in the CSAT exams
Syallabus for CSAT papers:
Paper 1:Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
History of India and Indian National Movement.
Economic and Social Development Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.
General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization.
General Science.
Paper 2Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc.
English Language Comprehension skills
Decision-making and problem-solving
Comprehension
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
General mental ability

i think only two paper for the civil services.
in which
1st paper have 100 questions 200 marks 2 hours.
2nd paper have 80 questions 200 marks 2 hours.

CSAT Exam has Two Papers:
1) General Studies and Current Affairs
2) General Aptitude
For General Category Combined score of Both Paper is must be 50% to get Select for Mains Exam.

CSAT stands for civil services aptitude test which is also known as Preliminary exam,
CSAT exam consist Two papers;-
General studies 1-200 marks having 2 hours duration
General studies 2-200 marks -2 HOURS
These papers consist compression, Mental ability, reasoning, English papers as well other General exam.
You have to clear these two exam to do into mains exam.
To join this exam,you must be graduate from a recognized university in any percentage.
Your age should be between 21-30 years.
You must be citizen of India,
After clearing CSAT exam,you have to clear Mins exam to go last stages of Interview.
