The no of attempts as per caste category according rules of UPSC are:


>>For general category candidates :4

>>For candidates belonging to OBC : it is 7

>>For sc/st : there is no limit.


The educational qualification is same for all students of any category that is graduation in any stream from a recognised university.

After graduation you will be eligible for UPSC exams like civil services,CDS,IFS,CPF etc.

There are two ways for applying for this examination:

yes there is an restriction of attempts for all category students but no any special restriction of attempts for physically handicapped persons.

the restriction is as under:-

NO OF ATTEMPTS :-

1.FOR GENERAL CATEGORY CANDIDATES:- 4 ATTEMPTS .
2.FOR OBC CATEGORY CANDIDATES :- 7 ATTEMPTS.
3. FOR SC/ST CATEGORY CANDIDATE:- NO ANY RESTRICTION.

BUT THE NO . OF ATTEMPTS DEPENDS ON THE AGE CRITERIA GIVEN BELOW.

AGE CRITERIA:-

FOR GENERAL CANDIDATES :-21-30 YEAR.
FOR OBC CANDIDATES:- 21-33 YEARS.
FOR SC/ST CANDIDATES:- 21-35 YEARS.


SO DON'T WORRY , THE NO OF ATTEMPTS IS SAME FOR YOU ALSO.

-There is no relaxation of the number of attempts for physically handicapped
candidates appearing for UPSC exams.

-Since you are an OBC candidate also, so you are eligible for the relaxation to
the number of attempts.

-In your case ,the number of attempts are 7 Times you are eligible for
relaxation in OBC category.

Hi Aspirant,

UPSC plan civil service exam every year for the recruitment of post IAS, IPS , IRS etc.


Required Qualification

You must be in age of 20 to 30 years

Age relaxation

Physically handicapped 10 years

SC/ST + 5 years

OB C + 3 years

You must be graduated

You must be Indian


Attempt in CSE

4 attempt for general candidates

7 attempts for OBC candidates

No limit for SC/ST


So friend you can apply for CSE exam till the age of 40 years.

But you will get limited attempt according to category mentioned above.
