    Can a general category candidate who develops physically handicapped condition after crossing 35 years of age be considered by UPSC as a PH candidate for further appearing in ICS (Indian Civil Services) exam?

    I am a general category candidate who have been diagnosed by doctor with partial deafness last year, at present i and 35 years old now .

    i have already given only two attemps at ICS exam some years back as a general category candidate as i had no such hearing problem that times ?



    BUT after gradually problem (sensorimotor hearing loss of over 50 per cent in left ear) since last year i have been diagnosed with partial deafness l

    ...... at this juncture after getting disability certificate can i avail/become entitled to the physical handicapped category benefits for Indian Civil Service Exam ? ....


    can a general category candidate who develops a physical handicap condition after crossing 35 years of age - can be considered by UPSC as a physical handicap category for further appearing in the ICS exam ?

    surely you are elligible under oh category upto 40 years.
