� Literature of one of the following languages:

You can select optional subjects based on your qualification. The subject in which you are most confident can be selected and can write for the Main Examination. So that you can score well and easily pass through Civil Services Mains Exam.

How to Select Optional Subjects in UPSC Civils Exams :
Firstly, you need make a variance that in which subjects you are good enough and in which you aren't.
Select the subjects for the examination in which you are fair enough to answer many.
And the subjects which you fee tough, leave those for optional subjects.
And also, please do not leave those subjects which has more weight-age in the examination.
This can reduce your over all score.
