CA experience is very good for IRS, As you have very good knowledge of accountancy, you can surely make good impression in interview. But as of CA person you also have to go through UPSC prelims and mains and for that also if you choose mathematics and accountancy related subjects then it will be easier for you to crack it. So my suggestion is that do hard work for UPSC, if you pass written exam then you will surely make good impression in Interview as well as on the job.
