Dear Guest,

* UPSC doesn't require any special eligiblity standard for height in upsc exam.

* If you fulfil the other eligibility criteria like - educational age criteria, nationality etc, then it doen't matter that how long you are.

* There is no requirment for height or chest etc. except you should be physically fit i.e. free from diseases and disability.

Hey there...

Height is considered only NDA, CDA and other navy/army/airforce exams that are conducted by UPSC.

If you are asking about the civil services, then No there is no specific height requirement.

Well mine friend, you see that eligible for UPSC examinations but not for CDS and IPS in civil services...

Just to remind you that UPSC is no examination , it's simply a commission which conducts examination on central level

and yes one more thing you need to be in final year to appear for examinations conducted by UPSC.

SO, wait for final year and then think about it.

If you want to give the exams particular for defense like CDS , AFCAT then height criteria one shouldhave to fulfill but for the other exams like civil service exam , IES exam , IRS exam , SSC exam then height criteria is not required .
=> So if you want to give CDS exam then height is required as per your age .
=> If you want to give Civil service exam then height is not required .

But you have to fulfill the other criteria to apply for the exam like
Education Qualification :
=> You done your graduation or in the final year of your graduation .

Age criteria :
21-30 for general cast , 3 year upper age relaxation for obc cast , 5 years upper age relaxation for sc/st cast .

As you are in the 2nd year of your graduation so that you have to wait till either you complete the graduation or in the final year of graduation .

Till you prepare for the exam so that you done enough practice at the time when you will eligible for the exam .

=> For the CDS exam also you have to complete the graduation or in the final year of graduation .

Defence services like CDS, NDA, NAVY, ARMY etc needs the special eligibility criteria like height, chest length etc. which also conducted by UPSC.

But for IAS , SCRA, CMS, IFS etc which are conducted by UPSC, don't require such special eligibility.

you are eligible for the civil service exam except the post of the ips.
IPS post condition the height of the candidate. but your height is low that standard.
other wise rest of post you are eligible for the exam.
qualification is requirement graduation in any stream from the recognized university.
