Dear Friend,

Choosing optionals is completely your choice.
You should do your own research on the particular subject and should ask yourself whether you can prepare for it or not.
as for Political Science is concerned it is very good scoring subject choose by many aspirants.
If you are very good in Hindi language and have a proficiency in to it than you opt for Hindi Language.
But let me tell you that it would require you to have a mastery in Hindi Language.
It is our Education system that we are getting pushed more in English Language rather than our own Languages.
So it is our compulsion that we had to choose the language we are being taught in.
Only if you are very good in Hindi than only choose it.

Each and every paper is the scoring if you are expert that particular subject.

Number of the candidate took the political science subject as the optional subject,

even which students are not belong to the political subject they took this subject as a optional subject,

because it is scoring subject other than the subjects.

So don�t worry about this you take the political and Hindi literature subject as the optional subject.

No, both the political science and Hindi literature is not good for scoring, Either you select political science with Anthropology/ you select political science with Sociology. Hindi is a literature subject that is why it is not a optional subject for UPSC exam.

I just want to tell you one thing that choosing subjects completely depends on students because no one knows that in which subjects you are at your best and can score better.

But as you have asked here , i would like to tell that Political Science ia a good optional subject to a extent if you have a good grasp about the politics and administrations.

Whereas Hindi is not a good subject from the scoring point of view this is because its completely literature and its quite hard to score well in subjects like Hindi.

So , I advise you to select an other subject in place of Hindi in which you have the most interest.

Yes, definitely Political Science and Hindi Literature are good subjects for Scoring. Both the subjects are easily understandable.

and one thing all subjects are scoring only if your preparation is good in the subject and you are expert of subjects.

so,i always recommend aspirants to choose subjects on the basis of their Knowledge and Interest in the subject. so that you can prepare easily and crack the exam.
