    Required Qualification to appear for Civil Services Exam

    -You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute.
    -You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year.
    -UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage.
    -Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years.
    -You must be a citizen of India.


    Civil Service Examination has three stages

    1st Stage: Preliminary Exam

    2nd Stage: Main Examination

    3rd(Final Stage): Interview
    PRELIMS:

    Paper I - (200 marks) Duration: Two hours
    Current events of national and international importance
    History of India and Indian National Movement
    Indian and World Geography
    Indian Polity and Governance

    • fill all the necessary details and submit them. There is no need to attach any certificate along with the application but they need to be produced at the time of personnel interview.
    • The screening process for the selection includes Common aptitude test followed by main test and personnel interview. The aptitude paper is common to all the aspirants which includes two papers each having their own syllabus.
    • Following it is the main exam which includes nine paper of which five are compulsory and remaining four are optional. The optional papers available can be chosen as per your wish.
    • Then you need to appear in the personnel interview along with the necessary certificates which includes degree certificate, 10& 2 certificate, community certificate etc.

    Civil services exam : -

    Generally , the candidates who have completed Graduation from a Recognised university are eligible for the IAS exam

    The candidate's age should be between 21-230 years , if the candidate is belong to General category
    The candidate's age should be between 21-33 years , if the candidate is belong to OBC Category
    The candidate's age should be between 21-35 years , if the candidate is belong to SC or ST category
    The candidate must be a Citizen of india

    IAS - Indian Administative Service

    IPS - Indian Police Service


    The candiates need to satisfy all the above eligibility criteria points of IAS exam to apply for the exam


    Attempts Restriction : -

    For General category candidates , they will have only 4 Attempts
    For OBC Category candidates , they will have 7 attempts only
    For SC or ST category candidates , they will have Unlimited number of Attempts

    But , remember all the attempts for the SC or ST category candidates should be given only when the candidate's age is below 35 years

    UPSC can conducts the civil services examsfor( IAS,IPS) also conducts CMS,IES,CPF,CDS,IFS etc......
    UPSC takes these exams every year.

    IAS,IPS,IES,IFS exams can be conducts in 2 stages namely

    Preliminary exam
    Main examination.


    After completion of preliminary exam you are eligible for Main examination.

    After clearing the main examination you will be called for final interview.

    Preliminary examination should consist of 2 papers.Which is conducted on objective type only.

    Main examination should consist of 9 papers,it is a descriptive exam.

    -the very first requirement as specified by the governing commission is to be a graduate degree holder. and the candidate must be aged 21 to 30 years, while the upper limit differs for various reserved categories as-33 for OBC, and 35 for SC/ST.
