    Dear,
    The UPSC conducts the CSAT examination for IAS. It consists of Two written examinations followed by PI. The preliminary examination comprises two papers. First one is the General Studies and second one is the English language & Comprehension. The main examination comprises nine papers. These are as follows:-
    paper- 1- Indian language among from the eighth schedule of the constitution.
    paper- 2- English, paper- 3- Essay, paper- 4 & 5- General studies, paper -6,7,8,9- from two optional papers chosen by you at the time of applied.
    And Personal Interview. After successful qualifying of the examination, You can secure a good rank to get IAS. Best of Luck.

    The IAS exam comprises of Prelims and Mains examination.If you qualify the Prelims examination,you have to then sit for the Mains examination and if you qualify the Mains,then you will be called for interview.If you crack the interview too,youhave cracked IAS!!!!!!!!!

    SELECTION PROCEDURE OF I.A.S. :-

    The selection procedure for I.A.S. is divided into 3 steps.

    * Preliminary Exam
    * Main Exam
    * Interview


    PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION:-

    Preliminary Examination is divided into two papers.
    Each paper having time duration 120 minutes.

    Paper one consists of Geography, Indian history and national movements, current events, general science, Economics, Indian polity and government etc.
    Paper two consists of Comprehension, Reasoning, Problem Solving, Decision Making, General Ability, English language etc.

    MAIN EXAMINATION:-



    INTERVIEW:-

    The candidates who have completed both these two above stages are called for interview.

    If you have qualified in all these three stages then you are an I.A.S. officer.

    Civil Services exam is conducted by UPSC for recruitment of IAS officers.

    Required Qualification to appear for Civil Services Exam

    -You should have passed Graduation degree in any specialization from recognized Institute.
    -You are for civil service exam while in graduation final year.
    -UPSC Civil service exam has no restriction on graduation percentage.
    -Your Age should be within the limit of 21 to 23 years.
    -You must be a citizen of India.

    Civil Service Examination has three stages

    1st Stage: Preliminary Exam

    2nd Stage: Main Examination

    3rd(Final Stage): Interview

    Prelims:
    Current events of national and international importance
    History of India and Indian National Movement
    Indian and World Geography
    Indian Polity and Governance
    Economic and Social Development
    General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change
    General Science.
    Comprehension
    Interpersonal skills including communication skills;
    Logical reasoning and analytical ability
    Decision making and problem solving
    General mental ability
    Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level)
    Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)
    English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

    Hello Friend,
    The UPSC conduct the civil service exam every year.IAS is one of them.
    The selection procedure:
    To become an IAS officer one can qualify the exam with good rank.The exam consist of 2 papers.
    1.Preliminary.
    2.Main exam.
    3.interview.
    1.Preliminary Exam:
    The preliminary exam shall now comprise of 2 compulsory paper of 200 marks each & of 2 hrs. duration each.The are of objective types.It is just a qualifying exam .The mark of the exam is not added in the main exam.
    2.Main Exam:
    In main exam the candidates are allow to choose 2 optional subject.All the question paper for the exam is conventional essay type.Each paper duration will be 3 hrs.
    3.Interview:
    After qualifying the exam the final round is an Interview.The aim of the interview is to assess the suitability of a candidate for a career in public service.The interview is mainly judge the mental ability,The intellectual qualities & their personalities.
    Then the candidate who have secured good rank go for training.they are posted as per recruitment to the vacancies of central & state govt. .
    These are the selection procedure to of a iAS officer.
