One can join indian army either through NDA or CDS..

For NDA the eligibility is:
*You have passed 12th with PCM from recognized university.
*Age limit 16.5-19 yrs..

For CDS the eligibility is :

*You have passed graduation in any stream from recognized university.

*Age limit 19-25 yrs..

u can go into indian army by 2 ways one through 1.NDA
2.CDS
to appear for nda u must pass +2 and b/w 16.5 to 19
to appear for cds u should be a graduate with degree and age 21-24

through upsc you can join indian army from two exams.
nda and cds-
in nda age limit is 16.5-19 years and educational qualification is intermediate or equivalent
in cds age limit is 19-25 years and educational qualification is graduation in any field from a recognised university.

The age limit for the CDS exam is 19 to 25 years.

No age relaxation is applicable.

Candidates who is interested to join the navy or air force must have math and physics as compulsory subject in intermediate.

3)Technical Entry Scheme
10+2 passed with physics,chemistry,mathematics with 70%.

4)TGC-Technical Graduate Course
Engineering degree in any stream.

5)SSC(Technical)
same as TGC.
Age-same as TGC

6)NCC-National Cadet Corps
graduation in any stream with NCC 'C' certificate
