ELIGBLITY FOR IPS EXAM;-


QUALIFICATION:- Graduation with any stream from recoginised university..
Candidates who have passed the final year of MBBS or any Medical Examination
but are yet to complete the internship can also appear for the Main Examination


AGE LIMIT:-
A candidate must have attained 21 years and not be over
30 years on August 1 of the year of examination.
For ST/SC candidate age limit is 21-35 year

Physical Fitness for IPS:

Height -
Male 165 cm (general) & ST (not the SC/ OBC) - 160 cm
Female 150 cm general & ST (not SC/ OBC)- 145 cm
Chest -
Male Minimum 84 cm. Expansion 5 cm.
Female Min 79 cm expansion 5 cm.
Many people fail in this test of chest expansion.
Eye sight - 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. 6/12 or 6/9 for worst eye.

Dear, as per the Advertisement of Civil Services EXam-2012 there is no special requirements or relaxation for SC candidates in regards of Physical fitness. But as per CPF Advertisement Height must be 165 cm for all and here also nothing is mention about the SC candidates. Hey friend,

For joining in for the post of IPS officer you need to write the IPS Exam which is being conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) and is held every year.

To apply for this exam you need to satisfy the framed criteira's for the exam and as told that you are a SC candidate the qualification which you need to satisfy are:

## Candidate should be a citizen of India

## The age limit needed for the Sc/St candidate is that you need to have 21-35 years of age as you get 5 years excpetion from the prescribed limits.

## Education qualification needed for the exam is that you need to have completed a degree from a recognized university and it can be in any discipline as it is not compulsory

## You need to be physically fit while appearing for the exam.

If you satisfy all the above then you are eligible for the IPS exam to join in for the post of IPS officer.

Required Height :

For Male : GEN/BC/SC : 165 cm
ST : 162.5 cm

For Female : GEN/BC/SC : 155 cm
ST : 154 cm

Educational Requirements :

Candidate should be graduate from any recognized university and also can apply in the last year of graduation.

Age Limit : For GEN : 21-30 years.
