What is requried height for IPS IAS &IFS
I am 17 years old.My aim is to become IAS officer.Therefore Whatis height for IAS level?

There is no physical requirements in IAS & IFS exams.
The physical standard is required in only IPS exam.

For IAS/IPS/IFS you must have a graduate degree from a recognized university and your age must lies in between 21-30 years.

If you want to become IAS officer then there is no physical standard required for this exam.

the criteria for height in civil services examination is 155 cms, right now you are not eligible for the examination, you must persue a graduation degree in any field from an ugc recognised university, and your age must lie in the following criteria:-
general- 21 to 30
obc- 21 to 33
sc/st- 21 to 35
pd- 21 to 40

IAS exam and IFS exam does not requires specific Physical standard. on the other hand, IPS exam specific physical standard.

These three exam are conducted by UPSC which requires a graduation degree from a recognized university.

Your age should be between 21-30 years. Age relaxation is given to reserved category.

You must be Indian citizen and Physically fit.


The Minimum Height Required is:

a) Male - 165cms

b) Pahari Male (General Also) - 160cms

c) Female - 150 cms

d) Pahari Female (General Also) - 140cms

Dear Friend,

For IAS and IFS no requirements of height but for IFS height is required.

Required Height for IFS :

Male :
165 cm for GEN/OBC/SC
162.5 for ST

Female :
155 cm for GEN/OBC/SC
154 cm for ST

These all comes under civil services.

Eligibility Criteria:

>> candidate must be passed his/her graduation and also can apply in last year of graduation.

>> Candidate must be under 21-30 years .3 years of age relaxation for BC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
