f you like to become an indian forest officer then you need to have the following things in the graduation to apply for the indian forest services-
Bachelor degree in animal husbandry, veterinary science, botany, chemistry, physics, geology, mathematics, statistics and zoology or bachelor degree in agriculture or forestry or engineering from a recognised university or equivalent.
So according to the same you can easily choose the stream that you want to take as a preperation for the same.
According to me you can take PCM, or PCB for the same because in both the streams there is physics and chemistry.
And there are also physics and chemistry required in the graduation so it will be better for you to take the subjects according to your convenience because it will help you alot.
Right now you are only in class 11th so its too early to decide that what subjects to choose for the IFS examination.
It will be better for you to firstcomplete the graduation and then apply for the examination.
Ypor age needs to be for this exam will be 21 to 30 years.

Dear you have thought a very good idea before making your mind for any particular subject and this will be very helpful for you to become IFoS Officer in India
As you know that there are so many subjects available to choose at this level so you can choose anyone of the - Mathematics/ Biological Science/ Agriculture Science but do not opt Arts or Commerce because candidates of these streams are not considered eligible to apply for this examination so try to select a stream and start walking on that because Agriculture, Biology and Mathematics graduation course is accepted in eligibility and if you want then you can go for Engineering after completing 12th in mathematics but you just have to think before that what can you study well and better than other subjects and which subject will be good for you to score higher marks in examination then you can choose that
Prefer your interest because having interest is necessary in examination and if you do not have interest then you can not pass that paper and remember that only high scorers are preferred for jobs and if you see that you are interested in Agriculture then you can choose that without any hesitation because this is very good subject to know more about the base of India and the major part of our Indian Economy so you can expect for more and take advices from your parents and teachers that what they suggest because they know more about your proficiency of subjects and interest so they will help you in selection
All the best
Try to take PCM with Biology as you're subject as you can go for Bachelor degree in botany or zoology if you're interested in animal and plant science... Or take PCM and computer science if you're interested in chemistry as bachelor degree in chemistry is also applicable for IFos... It purely your decision...
Hi aspirantyou should choose bio medical stream ...
dear aspirant,
AS you are now in 11th so there are a wide range of opportunities for you. now you can go to any field. i considered it is the key point. you have to choose your field with lots of care. you should go for the field or subjects in which you have interest.
As you said you want to go for Indian Forest Services Exam. for IFS you must hold a Bachelors degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering from recognized college or university.
So you can choose any subject from the upper listed subjects.
for IFS exam your age should be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of the exam. there is also relaxation in age upto
3 years for OBC candidates.
5 Years for SC/ST candidates
