Re: Suggest a good optional subject for B.Sc (Horticulture) for IAS exam?

List of all optional subjects available to choose any one from them for mains examination

    Agriculture
    Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
    Anthropology
    Botany
    Chemistry
    Civil Engineering
    Commerce and Accountancy
    Economics
    Electrical Engineering
    Geography
    Geology
    History
    Law
    Management
    Mathematics
    Mechanical Engineering
    Medical Science
    Philosophy
    Physics
    Political Science and International Relations
    Psychology
    Public Administration
    Sociology
    Statistics
    Zoology

If you have completed your bachelor's degree in Horticulture then you may choose any one of the following subject for your both optional papers

Agriculture or Botany or Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science

But you should know that Agriculture has a huge and depth syllabus so it will not be good for you because time is very short and you will have to compete with the students of ICAR and IARI because they also appears for examination and you may really not do well and better than those students in Agriculture or relevant subject so you may choose any other optional subject that is easy as - Sociology/ Political Science and International Relations/ Public Administration etc. and prepare well

    All the best

Re: Suggest a good optional subject for B.Sc (Horticulture) for IAS exam?

    Agriculture
Dog Husbandry plus Vet Scientific research
    Anthropology
    Botany
    Biochemistry
    City Architectural
    Marketing plus Accountancy
    Financial aspects
    Electronic Architectural
    Geography
    Geology
    Heritage
    Law
    Managing
    Math
Governmental Scientific research plus Foreign Contact
    Therapy
    Open public Government
    Sociology
    Stats
    Zoology

For those who have done your current bachelor education around Farming then you can decide on any one of the subsequent theme for ones the two optional reports

Agriculture or even Botany or even Dog Husbandry plus Vet Scientific research

However you should know in which Agriculture contains a enormous plus degree syllabus hence it won't be most effective for you mainly because time can be quite small you may have to be able to tackle the kids associated with ICAR plus IARI mainly because in addition they seems to be to get exam and you'll really not be smart far better as opposed to those scholars around Agriculture or even applicable theme so you may decide on almost every other optional theme that is certainly simple as - Sociology/ Governmental Scientific research plus Foreign Relations/ Open public Government etc. plus prepare nicely
for the post associated with IAS you might have to try to get City Solutions Exam. The Test is carried out by way of UPSC just about every year.
UPSC made many improvements using this year. at this moment alternatively of deciding on not one but two optional subject matter you should decide on merely one optional theme to get Mains Exam.
becoming a B.Sc(horticulture) graduate you may decide on optional theme just like Agriculture or even Dog Husbandry plus Vet Scientific research
you may decide on anyone which you want. becoming a farming graduate maybe you have information about most of these subject matter which will will aid you to break the particular exam.
