hi,
since you have done P.G in physics, you may consider taking physics as an optional subject for the mains provided you are confident and interest in that subject. For the selection of optionals the criteria is interest in the subject and availability of good study material and proper guidance.First go through the syllabus and find the choose the optional subjects very carefully as they are going to give you 1200 marks.first choose your optionals and start your preparation.simultaneously prepare for general studies and current happenings.have long and short term goals and achieve it on time.sooner you start the better it will be.If you are appearing for next year start soon without wasting time.ALL THE BEST.
my dear friend,
i must suggest you to start your preparation with the NCERT books,
to have better knowledge of concepts of the high level,
you must have to gain the base knowledge of all those concepts and the base concepts are in the NCERT books,
you should first manage your time for study,
make a time table giving justice to every subject,
give proper time to every subject and prepare well.
also for better preparation you can download the previous year question papers form the official website of upsc,
solve more and more practice papers in the last days of the exam.
all the best
