YOU CAN JOIN IAF FLYING BRANCH THROUGH CDS EXAMINATION WHICH IS CONDUCTED BY UPSC TWICE IN A YEAR .

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Combined Defence Services Examination for admission to the following courses:-


Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, 250 Vacancies

Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, 40 Vacancies

Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, 32 Vacancies

Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 175 Vacancies

Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 15 Vacancies

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

1.THE CANDIDATE MUST BE THE CITIZEN OF INDIA.
2. A CANDIDATE MUST BE A GRADUATE FROM A GOVT. RECOGNIZED UNIVERSITY .

upsc conducts varies exams every years,
to join indian air force you have to give NDA or CDS exam conducted by upsc,
upsc conducts both NDA as well as CDS twice a year,

NDA(national defence academy)

Eligibility criteria for NDA:
candidate must be an indian male.
candidate must have passed intermediates from recognized board or university with mathematics,physics and english.
age of candidate must lie between 16.5 to 19 years.

CDS(combined defense services)

Eligibility criteria for exams conducted by upsc:

1. Candidate must have completed graduation or engineering from a recognized university .
2. candidates who appearing in final year of graduation or engineering can also apply for the upsc exams.
3. candidate must have maths and physics as subjects during graduation.
4. age limit for the upsc exams is 19 to 24 years.
5. age relaxation of 3 years is given to those candidates who belongs to OBC category .
6. age relaxation of 5 years is given to those candidates who belongs to sc category.
