Dear,
The UPSC conducts various competitive examinations for the Central Government. The essential qualification for the examination is to pass or appear the final year Bachelor degree at any recognized university in any discipline. So there is no specific degree course for the UPSC examination. Any graduate from a recognized university will apply for the examination. So don't bother on the degree course, and prepare the best whichever your graduation may be it doesn't matter. To know more details please visit www.upsc.gov.in Thanks.....
Dear friend,
you may choose the degree course as per the optional subjects you choose. For example if you are going to take political science as an optional then you may do degree in the same.if you have interest in other streams you can pursue the same
knowledge never goes waste.
It is not mandatory to do degree in the same subject which you are going to take as an optional.
Just think broadly and come to a conclusion.have a proper degree .
