    yes there is difference between NDA and CDS
    NDA recruits following wings..
    1.army
    2.naval
    3.airforce
    whereas CDS recruits:
    1.IMA
    2.navalacademy
    3.airforceacademy
    4.OTA

    N.D.A. MEANS NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY.
    C.D.S. MEANS COMBINED DEFENSE SERVICE.
    SIMILARITY IN BOTH THE EXAMS:-
    BOTH THESE EXAMS ARE CONDUCTED BY UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION(U.P.S.C.) TWICE IN A YEAR.
    BY APPLYING IN THESE EXAMS YOU CAN ABLE TO GET JOBS IN INDIAN DEFENSE. i.e. ARMY, NAVY & AIR FORCE.

    BUT BOTH THESE EXAMS ARE NOT SAME.
    THEY VARY IN THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA.
    FOR N.D.A. YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED +2 BUT FOR C.D.S. YOU MUST HAVE COMPLETED GRADUATION.
    THESE EXAMS ALSO VARY IN AGE CRITERIA.

    N.D.A. ELIGIBILITY:-

    CITIZENSHIP:-
    -- CANDIDATE MUST BE INDIAN CITIZEN.
    -- CANDIDATES WHO HAVE COME TO INDIA FROM BHUTAN, NEPAL & TIBETAN COUNTRIES BEFORE 1ST JANUARY 1962, TO STAY IN INDIAN PERMANENTLY CAN ALSO APPLY FOR THE EXAM.

    AGE LIMIT:-
    -- THE CANDIDATE MUST HAVE ATTAINED THE AGE OF 16.5 YEARS & MUST NOT ATTAINED THE AGE OF 19 YEARS.

    MARITAL STATUS:-
    -- CANDIDATE MUST BE AN UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATE.

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:-
    -- CANDIDATE MUST HAVE COMPLETED +2 WITH SCIENCE STREAM IN ORDER TO APPLY FOR ALL WINGS OF DEFENSE i.e. ARMY, AIR FORCE,NAVY WING.
    -- CANDIDATE WHO HAS ONLY COMPLETED +2 OTHER THAN SCIENCE STREAM CAN ONLY APPLY FOR ARMY WING.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR C.D.S.:-

    For INDIAN MILITARY ACADEMY:-

    -- Candidates must be degree holder from recognized university or equivalent course.
    -- Candidate must be a graduate degree holder.
    -- Only unmarried male candidates can apply for this exam.
    -- Candidates must not born before 2ND January 1989 and not after 1ST January 1994.
    -- Candidate must be Indian Citizen.

    FOR NAVAL ACADEMY:-

    -- Only Unmarried male candidates can eligible to apply for this exam.
    -- Candidates must not born before 2ND January 1989 and not after 1ST January 1994.
    -- Candidates must completed B.Sc. degree with Physics & Mathematics as main subjects from a a recognized university.
    -- Candidates who have done Engineering course are also eligible to apply.

    For Air Force Academy:-

    -- Unmarried male candidates are allowed to apply.
    -- Candidates must not born earlier than 2nd January 1990 and not later on 1 January 1994.
    -- Candidates must be a degree holder.
    -- Candidates should have also passed 10+2 level with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

    For Officers Training Academy- SSC course (Men/Women):-

    -- Candidates must not born earlier than 2nd January 1988 and not later than 1 January 1994.
    -- Candidate must be a degree holder.
    -- Candidate must be physically fit.
    -- Candidate must be Indian citizen.

    Both exams are conducted by UPSC to join defense forces.

    Eligibility for NDA:
    - You are eligible for NDA after 10+2 exam.
    -only unmarried male candidates are eligible.
    -candidates appearing in 12th class can also apply.
    - Age : From 19 Years to 24 years. Engineer graduates 20 to 27 years
    - Degree. BA, B.Sc or B.Tech/BE

    Eligibility for CDS:

    1. For IMA : 19 to 24 Years
      For OTA : 19 to 25 years
      For Naval : 19 to 22 years
      For Air Force : 19 to 23 years.
    2. The selection process consists of a written exam and personality test by the Service Selection Board. After the final selection, you are sent to one of the following institutes for orientation training as per your Preference at the time of filling the application form.
    3. Both male & female candidates can apply to join forces.

    Dear Candidate
    their is lot of difference between NDA and CDS exam.
    NDA = National Defense Academy
    CDS = Central Defense Service

    NDA exam is held for
    1. army
    2. navy
    3. air force
    but the CDS exam is held for
    1. IMA = Indian Miltery Academy
    2. OTA
    3. Air Force Academy
    beside this the Exam date and applying for these exams are also differnt from each other.

    NDA:-

    national defense academy

    this exam recruit for indian navy army and air force

    your age should be in between 16.5-19

    you should be a 10+2 passout

    CDS:-

    combined defense servicethis exam recruit for indian naval academy, IMA, OTA

    your age should be in between 19-25

    you should be a graduate from any recommended university

    NDA EXAM AND CDS EXAM ARE THE WRITTEN TO RECRUIT THE THE CANDIDATES INTO DEFENSE FIELD LIKE ARMY,AIR FORCE,NAVAL ACADEMY

    BUT BOTH THE EXAM VARIED BASED ON THE AGE,EDUCATIONAL ,GENDER REQUIREMENTS LIKE

    IN NDA =AGE REQUIRED 16.5-19 YEARS,GRADUATION LEVEL=12TH PASSED,GENDER=ONLY MEN

    WHERE AA IN CDS=AGE=19-24 YEARS,GRADUATION LEVEL=ANY GRADUATE OR ANY DEGREE,GENDER=BOTH

    UNMARRIED /SINGLE

    SHOULD SCORED 60% MINIMUM

    SHOULD BE MEDICALLY FIT AND FINE

    SHOULD BE CITIZEN OF INDIA

    Dear candidate

    both exams are same because both exams are conducted by the UPSC. but both exams selection criteria is differ than each other such as :

    Eligibility for NDA

    the limit is 16.5 to 19 year
    candidate must have passed HSC with physics and math
    in NDA he/she can apply for army, navy and air force.

    For CDS the required qualification is

    candidate should be a graduate.
    must be a citizen of india
    he/she can apply for naval academy, aorforce academy and for Indian miltry academy.

    beside these differences the the date on which the exams are conducted also vary.

    yes my friend NDA and CDS are different exams conducted by upsc
    NDA stands for national defense academy ans is 12th based exam
    CDS stands for combined defense services and is graduation based exam
    i think you must read following info :

    eligibility criteria for NDA(national defence academy)
    1.Candidate must be an indian male.
    2.Candidate should passed 10+2 from recognized board with mathematics,physics and english.
    3.Age of candidate must lie between 16.5 to 19 years



    Eligibility criteria for CDS:

    1.graduation or engineering from a recognized university.
    2.final year students can also eligible to apply for this exam.
    3.age limit 21 to 25 years.
    4.OBC and SC/ST category gets age relaxation of 3 years and 5 years respectively.


    Also,
    1. For IMA(Indian Military Academy) And OTA(Officer's Training Academy) student should have passed Graduation from a recognized university . And for the Indian Air Force Exam the candidate should be pass in Graduation( B.SC With Physics or Maths )
    2.for IMA age should be between 19-24 years
    3.for OTA age should be between 19-25 years
    4.for IAF age should be between 19-22 years for IAF

    yes there is difference in the eligibility criteria's

    NDA(national defense academy) requires indina male candidates who complted 12th from a recognized board or university.
    where as CDS(combined defense services) requires indian candidates who completed graduation or engineering from a recognized university.

    NDA is for only male candidates whereas CDS is for both males and females.

    age limits for NDA is 16.5 to19 years
    whereas for CDS 19 to 25 years

    Eligibility criteria for NDA:
    candidate must be an indian male.
    candidate must have passed intermediates from recognized board or university with mathematics,physics and english.
    age of candidate must lie between 16.5 to 19 years.

    Yes , there is a some difference . The difference is education qualification and age limits .

    NDA and CDS examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice in a year .

    NDA Examination is only for Higher Secondary Level Candidates and recruitment of Army wings , Navy wings and Air force wings .CDS Examination is only for graduate degree holder and recruitment of Military , Naval , Air force and Officer Training Academy .

    NDA Examination will be held in the month of April and August and CDS Examination will be held in the month of February and September . Both the exam application forms are available in the only online mode and there is no offline facility .

    NDA Examination application fees :- 50/ - ( excepting the SC/ST candidates ) and CDS Examination application fees is 200 /- ( excepting the female / SC / ST candidates ) .
