    Hello,
CDS Exam is conducted by UPSC twice a year for the recruitment of candidates in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Naval Academy (NA), Air Force Academy (AFA), Officers Training Academy (OTA).

There is no difference between CDS (I) and CDS (II) Exam. They are same Exam named I & II since they are conducted twice a year. The CDS Exam (I) is conducted in February of every year and CDS Exam (II) is conducted in September of every year.

For further details refer the pdf attached below and for Previous Years Question Papers you can refer www.upsc.gov.in
You can fill the online application form from the official website www.upsconline.nic.in

the UPSC conducts the CDS exam for graduate candidates to join the army , nave and the air-force.
this exam is conducted two times a year and hence known as CDS-1 and CDS-2 exam respectively.
there is no such significant difference in the two CDS exams.
only thing is that the CDS-1 exam is conducted earlier in the year in the month of February/march and the the CDS-2 exam is conducted in September.

other details/aspects of the exam are the same.
the eligibility criterion is same for both the exams.

for further information of the exam you can visit www.upsc.gov.in

    good luck

    • No there is no difference between CDS (I) and CDS (II) when it comes to examination pattern, syllabus and other related things.
    • The only difference between both is that they are conducted in time period.
    • UPSC conducts the combined defence services (CDS) twice a year.
    • In a particular year, when it is conducted first time it is referred to CDS (I) and for further it is CDS (II).
    • It requires you need to have completed your graduation from a recognised university.
    • You must have to be unmarried to be eligibile.

    hi
it is just a myth that there is any difference in CDS I and II.
THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE IN CDS I AND CDS II
The exam is conducted twice in an year by the upsc and this is the only reason that it has been assigned with the numerical value of one and two.
The exam is conducted in the same pattern, and the level of difficulty is also the same only.
Therefore one should not have any doubt about the difference in the I and II paper

CDS exams are conducted by UPSC Two times in a year
The first exam of the year is called CDS 1 and the second exam of the year is called CDS 2

This is the only difference and no other difference is there.
In the year 2013 CDS 1 exams was conducted on 17th February 2013 and CDS 2 exam would be conducted on 8th September 2013

Forms for the CDS 2 exams are being filled right now
