IPS Exam is taken by UPSC Board.
>> The Age limit is set by UPSC Board is As Follow:
>> For General Category Candidate 21 to 30 years.
>> For OBC Category Candidate 21 to 33 years
>> For SC/ST Category Candidate 21- 35 years.
>> For optional Subject Selection:
>>> You can Select Any Subject that you can easily prepare and Get Good marks.
>>> So choose the Subject that is easy for you.
>>> Also keep in mind that every Subject are easy but you need only some logic.

It is nice that you want to join IPS exam. IPS exam is conducted by UPSC every year.
IPS exam stands for Indian Police services to become \IPS officer.
General age limits is 21-30 years.
Age relaxation is given to reserved category students.
3 years for OBC category
5 years for SC/ST category
10 years for PH candidates
From this year Mains exam pattern has been changes.

More papers to appear for under General Studies
Constriction in language/ medium (to give the exam)
English paper sub-divided into 2 sections (300 marks total)
Reduction in total marks

You have to choose those subjects in which you have full interest or field related subjects.

you can become an IPS officer through UPSC Civil Services Exam. The Exam is conducted by UPSC every year. For Crack the exam you have to prepare hard for the exam.
As you said you are from Pharmacy and there is no optional subject related to Pharmacy in Civil Services. But You can choose History/Geography as your optional subjects. Because these are easy to study and learn.
Eligibility Criteria For Civil Services:
>>you must have completed or appearing in final year of graduation.
>>your age must be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 August of the year of exam. there is relaxation in upper age limit up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
Limit Number Of Attempts:
>>General category: 4 attempts
>>OBC category: 7 attempts
>>SC/ST category: No Limit
