The age limit for upsc exam is set different for different categories and it is as follows:
1.For general category the limit is 21-30 yrs.
2.For OBC it is 21-33 yrs.
3.For SC/ST the limit is 21-35 yrs.

UPSC conducts different exams. Age limit differs for each exam. Refer the following table

For all these exams, age relaxation is applicable for;
SC/ST- 5 years age relaxation in upper age limit
OBC- 3 years

It conducts following Exams in every year.


>> National Defence Academy (NDA) Exams.
>> Civil Service Examinations-Preliminary and Mains.
>> Indian Forest Service Exams.
>> Indian Engineering Service Exams.
>> Combined Defence Services Exams.
>> Indian Statistical/Economics Service Exams.
>> Combined Medical Services Exams.
>> Central Police Force Examinations.
>> Section Officers/Stenographers exams.
>> Special Class Railway Apprentices.
>> Geologists Examinations.


NDA Exam (National Defence Academy) is conducted twice in a year viz. April and August.


Age Limit of these exams are:


>> NDA :- Your age should be between 16.5 to 19 years and there is no age relaxations is applicable.


>> CDS Exam:-


For Indian military Academy:-Age limit should between 19 to 25 years
For Officer Training Academy:-Age limit should between 19 to 24 years
For Air Force Academy:-Age limit should between 19 to 23 years.
For Naval Academy:-Age limit should between 19 to 22 years.


>> SCRA Exam:-The candidate age should between 17 to 21 years.


>> Civil Service Exam:-


For General: 21 to 30 yearsFor OBC: 21 to 33 years
For SC/ST: 21 to 35 years




>> Indian Forest Service Exam:- The candidate's age should be between 21 to 30 years, and the upper age relaxation for SC/ST is 5 years, for OBC is 3 years.


>> Indian Engineering Service Exam:- The candidate's age should be between 21 to 30 years (for General) and for OBC it is 21 to 33 years, and for SC/ST - 21 to 35 years.


>> Central police Service Exam:-The General candidate Age limit should be between 20 to 25 years, for OBC - 20 to 30 years, for SC/ST-20 to 28 years.
