Dear Aspirant
See UPSC has recently change the format of examination. It has reduced the weightage of optionals and giving more importance to general studies. It has repalce the optinal papr from civil service preliminary examination and has introduce new paper called CSAT(Civil Service Aptitude Test )So there is hardly any chance of having a major change in the examination pattern.Perhaps no chance at all.
However you may expect changes in number of question asked in prelims examination.Few topics may get more weightage compared to other. From some topics there may be no quuestions at all.But you cannot aspect broad changes as it has recently done it.Also this chnages also brought up after lot of committees recommendation.
You may get the question paper format of the new pattern designed from UPSC official websites (www.upsc.gov.in).You may downlaod from there.
