The course related to IAS is provided by many Private Institutions such as Chanakya Mandal,Lakshya,Unique Academy,Vijeta Academy etc.Besides,Mumbai Univarsity also provides with this foundation course for IAS exam but univarsity has its own pretest to appear for that course.The duration is generally 1year.

If you have prepared for the exam in such a manner that you have completed the course once, then you should join the crash course for 3 months. And if you are starting right from the basics, then it is advisable for you to get into the 1 year course or 2 years course according to your own understanding capabilities

Coaching time depends upon your level of understanding and preparation. In coaching classes there are various programs of different durations.
If you are just starting your preparation from the scratch you will need longer time possibly 1 year or around.

To join IAS exam, you must be passed a graduation degree from a recognized university.

For IAS you need to appear for civil services exam.

It also depends that on which time you are joining it, I mean to say how much time is left for your exam.

If you have 2 yrs then you can enroll to 2 yrs program but if you are having less time say 6 months only then you have no option to join either the 6 months or 3 months program to join.

But It is always advisable to join as early as possible as it will make your concepts clear early and you will have enough time left for your revision.
