    What is the procedure to become an IAS? What is the duration of this course?

    sir/ madam
    I have done bba from rajasthan university this year and now i want to become an IAS officer .. please tell me the procedure to become IAS and the duration of this course ..

    Hello,
    You have to apply for Civil Services Examination.
    Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.

    The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:
    Educational Qualification
    The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university
    Final year degree students are also eligible
    Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university

    Age limit
    General 21-30 yrs
    SC/ST 21-35 yrs
    PH 21-40 yrs

    Number of attempts permitted
    General 4
    OBC 7
    PH 7
    SC/ST No Limit

    Nationality should be Indian.

    HI,

    Dear Aspirant you may join coaching institute for ias exam preparation and you should start your study as soon as possible because dates has been announced for next civil service exams and you do not have more than 4 months to prepare for this exam and you may apply for this exam if you have following eligibility criteria :

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC. there are three stage of exam.


    1. Preliminary exam - objective type and there would be two papers conducted in this exam which are as - general studies - i and general studies - ii and each paper has 200 marks and qualifying in this exam is necessary to get eligibility for next mains exam

    2. Mains examination - conventional type exam and there would be 9 papers conducted and you may choose any two subjects according to your choice in this exam for your mains

    3. Interview process - if you successfully qualify the prelims and mains exam then you will receive a interview call fron upsc board and you will have to face interview under the upsc board and if you qualify in this process then you would become an ias officers

    there are about 21 posts under the ias exam which candidates gets after the selection in ias exam in which top 50 ias candidates will get - ifs - indian foreign service, medium rankers will get indian administrative post and then it would be divided as per rank and posts as - irs - indian revenue officer etc.


    Eligibility Criteria

    Age criteria For IAS exam
    minimum age is 21 and maximum age is 30 year for genaral candidate and
    there is age relaxation provided to OBC and SC/ST candidate is 3 year and 5 year respectively

    Educational Qualification

    Candidate should be graduate from recognized university
    Final year candidate are also eligible for this exam.
    there is no limit of percentage marks.

    Hello Friend,
    civil service exam is one of the prestigious exam conducted by UPSC for recruitment to various All India services. IAS ( Indian Administrative Service) is one of them.

    So, IAS is not a course , it is a civil service exam which is conducted by UPSC.
    Many of the coaching centers are available for preparing civil service exams .

    To apply for the exam the candidate procure the application form any of the post offices/ Head post offices spread all over the country & sent the application form according to the rule.

    The candidates are also apply through online mode.

    The exam consist of 3 stages:
    1.preliminary
    2.Main
    3.Interview

    preliminary exam is just a qualifying exam for Final exam & score obtained in this exam are not added to the final result.

    Those candidates are qualified in the exam to take the final exam.

    Once you are qualified the test the final stage is interview to test their personality & mental ability.

    so,to become an IAS officer the aspirant can crack the entrance exam of UPSC.
    These are the procedure to become an IAS officer.


    The Graduate candidates between 21 year to 30 year & who belongs to Indian citizenship is apply for IAS exam.

    I understand you question that you want to know about coaching coarse
    of IAS in academy,so I must tell you that the coarse duration is one year and
    starts in nearly May every year.
    the best coaching center for IAS is Chankya coaching center of Delhi.
    And if you want to know about IAS paper,The selection process and time consumed in it.
    the I must tell you the process of IAS exam held in Three Stages.
    -Preliminary
    -Mains
    -Interview
    the time consumed in these exams is one year,so you must have patience of
    one year to be an IAS

    Friend,

    IAS means Indian Administrative services, this exam is mainly conducted by the UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission. In order to apply for the exam you have to full fill the all the information about the exam.

    Education Qualification
    The Aspirants have to clear Graduation from the recognized college or university. The final Year candidates can also eligible for the exam. There is percentage required in the Graduation just you have to complete in any discipline from the recognized college

    OBC - 7
    Gm - 4
    Physical handicapped - 7
    SC/St - unlimited

    Age Limit
    Minimum 21 years
