(a) Nationality : A candidate must either be :i) a citizen of India, or

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply.(d) Physical Standards : Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination as per guidelines given :Candidates are advised to rectify minor defects/ailments in order to speed up finalisation of medical examination conducted at the Military Hospital after being recommended at the SSB. The undermentioned ailments are considered, common minor ailments : Wax (Ears), Deviated Nasal Septum, Hydrocele/Phimosis, Overweight/Underweight, Under sized Chest, Piles, Gynaecomastia, Tonsillitis, VaricoceleA candidate recommended by the Services Selection Board will undergo a medical examination by a Board of Service Medical Officers. NDA conducts exams for Indian army,Indian navy and Indian air forces in the every year. NDA conducts exam two times in the year.
NDA-1 releases the notification in the month of April and it conducts exam in the month of June. NDA-2 releases the notification in the month of October and it conducts exam in the month of December.

The given below is the criteria to apply for the NDA ( National Defence Academy ) Examination .

1. You as a candidate must be a citizen of India or a type of refugee who had permanently settled in India .
2. You as a candidate must be an unmarried male candidate .
3. Your age must be between 16� to 19 years,i.e, You should have been born between 2nd July, 1994 and 1st January, 1997 .
4. If you have chosen to join the Army wing of National Defence Academy than you must be 12th Class pass or the 10+2
level Examination pass of School Education from an recognised institution or a CBSE Education board .
5. If you have chosen to join Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme
at the Indian Naval Academy than you should be 12th Class pass or the 10+2 level Examination pass with Physics and

Yes of course you can apply for the NDA examination till your age gets 19 .
But you must see that you do not get 19 years old till you reach the NDA Academies after passing the
writing Examination , SSb rounds and than medical Rounds .

The selection of the candidates into the Air Force, Naval and Army wings of the NFA will be done through the NDA Examination. This exam will be carried out by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC).

Age Limit and Qualification for NDA Entrance Exam:

1)Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must complete the 12th class from a recognized university
2)Candidates who are appearing for the NDA exam must be unmarried males.
3)They must be atleast 16 1/2 years and not more than 19 years on January 1st or July 1st of the year subsequent to the year of the exam.

So,from the above criteria you can apply for NDA exam upto 19 years.You can not apply after 19 years

Eligibility Criteria for NDA - National Defense Academy Exam 2013

There are following three departments under the NDA board which are :

1. Indian Army : If you have passed class 12th in any discipline from a recognized board and your age is between 16.5-19 years then you can apply for Indian Army department jobs.

2. Indian Air Force : If you have passed class 12th with physics and mathematics as a compulsory subject then you can apply for this exam and age limit follows same as mentioned above.

3. Indian Navy : If you have above mentioned eligibility which is mentioned in Indian Air Force Section then you can apply for this department.

If you are in 18 years of age then you are eligible to apply for NDA exam.
