UPSC has just releases the UPSC prelims result namewise with cut off marks.Visit the site upsc.gov.in and from that cut off u can get the expected cut off for this year also.

optional subject 300 total marks

from 2011 optional isreplaced by aptitude test.

So
paper-1 general studies.

Paper -2 aptitude test.

as we know examination pattern have changed from 2011 for prelims it has been converted into csat., which includes paper-1 and paper -2 . so getting 100 marks in each paper will help u crack prelims easily.

Hi dear, The cut off marks is 50% ,,,Dont bother for cut off marks, just go for achieve the goal and give full effort at best level. Best of luck.

but i think it depend upon ranking.

cut off every year is decided by the jury w.r.t. to the students

i think 40% is the expected cut off marks of UPSC Prelims examination in this year.

from last year exam one can predict the expected cutt off like 210 for general that was last years case,but every year with diffrent paper no one can predict this prematurely without exam!
