What is the procedure for acknowledging my organization before applying to UPSC exam? Is it necessary to intimate my organization (Central Govt)?

sir i want to know what is procedure for acknowledging our organisation before appearing for u.p.s.c exam
currently i am a central govt. employee .
i am going to write u.p.s.c -2013 . is it required to intimate our concerned organisation before appearing for exam?
When to intimate my dept. i.e. before pre. Or before main.is there any problem if they inform before main.

You can intimate orally first, and if it is needed then you can give resignation letter. But here the problem is that you must be sure about your next job before resigning current one. So its always better to first qualify exam and then give resignation.


no problem if you inform after mains exam. First give prelims exam and then inform your department.


As per my knowledge every organization having its own notice period limit, you have to check out that. To give exam and qualifying it might not be any problem with your organization, unless you are resigning before serving notice period.


So, i advise you to give exam qualify exam first, and then do inform to organization will be okay.


As per my knowledge in CSAT notification also it it mention that if you qualify exam, then how much time you will be having to join on full time job. ou can refer to CSAT notification.
