- Current events of national and international importance
- History of India and Indian National Movement
- Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.
- Indian Polity and Governance � Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
- Economic and Social Development � Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.
- General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization
- General Science
CSAT Paper II: 200 marks; Duration: Two Hours
- Comprehension
- Interpersonal skills including communication skills
- Logical reasoning and analytical ability
- Decision making and problem solving
- General mental ability
- Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)
- English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).
- Questions relating to English Language Comprehension skills of Class X level (last item in the Syllabus of Paper-II) will be tested through passages from English language only without providing Hindi translation thereof in the question paper.

Civil services exam is conducted by UPSC. Generally Civil services exam consist tow exam;-
Civil services Preliminary exam
Civil services Mains exam
Interview
From this year,Civil services Mains exam pattern has been changed.
Preliminary exam pattern is same as previous.
Preliminary exam consist;-
General studies I-200 marks having 2 hours duration
General Studies II-200 marks
Civil services Mains exam;-
Now Any Indian Language papers consist 100 marks as qualifying marks.
English language papers consist 100 marks.
Essay papers marks is same as previous.
Now general studies papers consist 500 marks.
There will be last stage of Interview which consist 275 marks instead of 300 mark

Minimum educational qualification required for Civil Service Exam is Bachelor degree .There is not require any kind of percentage marks in graduation degree .
Final year of graduation degree candidate are also applicable for Civil Service Exam .You are from final semester so you are applicable for IPS exam .
Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years old .Age relaxation is provide as per govt rule .
The maximum attempts for SC/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.Also you must be citizen of India.

Dear CSAT Stands for - Civil Service Aptitude Test and there is a separate paper for this subject in IAS preliminary examination and there are some different subjects included in the CSAT which are asked in examination and below I have mentioned complete syllabus for both preliminary and mains examination and mainly focused on major topics of the syllabus
