All the candidates who satisfy the basic eligibility criteria of the Civil Services Examination are eligible to fill the application form for the IRS post.
Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the post of IAS, IRS, IPS.

The basic eligibility criteria for Civil Services Exam are as follows:
Educational Qualification
The candidate must hold any degree in any discipline from any recognized university
Final year degree students are also eligible
Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university
Age limit
General 21-30 yrs
SC/ST 21-35 yrs
PH 21-40 yrs
Number of attempts permitted
General 4
OBC 7
PH 7
SC/ST No Limit

Nationality should be Indian.

2.Age for a grneral candidate should be 21-30 years relaxation for OBC 3 years S/C S/T 5 years.

4.Attempts; Gen candidate get's 4 attempts.Obc get's 7 attempts and s/c s/t no limit to clear the IRS examination.

Eligibility Criteria for UPSC civil services : Dear for your kind information that UPSC board conduct Civil Service Exams in which about 21 posts comes under the civil service exams and each and every qualified candidates get various posts according to their ranks in the examination as - IFS - Indian Foreign Service, IAS - Indian Administrative Services, IRS - Indian Revenue Services etc. and you may apply for this exam if you have following eligibility criteria :

A bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university and if you are pursuing final year of the degree then also you are eligible to apply for this exam

Your age should not be less than 21 years and more than 30 years and relaxation in upper age as per government guidelines which is 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years of OBC, 10 years for PWD and 5 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates and relaxation in upper age for Widow, Divorced and Separated female candidates as per government standards

If you have above mentioned qualification then you may apply for civil service exam between these dates :

Start date for online application - 02-02-2013

Last date for online application - 04-03-2013

UPSC civil service preliminary exam date - 19-05-2013

There is no more time and if you are eligible then you should apply and join any coaching institute to prepare for preliminary exam and if you will give at least 15 hours everyday for your study then you may definitely qualify the prelims exam

All those people who fulfill the below eligibility criteria can sit for the exam and hence fill the application form.

The criteria is-

1)Age Limit:-

21-30 years as on 1/8/2013

2) A Bachelor�s degree with at least one of the subjects namely, Animal
Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology,
Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor�s degree in
Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognised university or
equivalent.
3) Students appearing at their degree examination (with prescribed
subjects) are also eligible to compete. Students qualifying on the result
of the written part of the examination will be required to submit the
proof of passing the requisite examination alongwith their detailed
application form to be filled up at that stage.

Students can apply for the IFS examination in both online and offline mode. Offline mode is meant for those Students from remote areas. Online application can be downloaded from the website: www.upsconline.nic.in
In offline mode, Students can purchase forms from Post Offices by a cash payment of Rs. 30/-.

Educational Qualification:
