Why is it difficult to crack SCRA exam? Whether the standard of question matches with IIT-JEE?

I have passed class 12th and planning to appear in SCRA exam but so many people say that it is difficult to crack as question pattern is very similar to IIT-JEE .so please clear my concept.

YES,it is very tough to crack the SCRA exams.The fact that the seats are very limited,a meagre 50,makes it all the more competitive.
The questions asked in mathematics,chemistry and physics are very similar to the standard of that in the IITs.
There is also a third paper of General studies which include current affairs,english and reasoning type questions.That means you have to keep intact all your +2 subjects.
Thereby,its very tough to crack this SCRA exams but if work hard with dedication,u will succeed.

If you think it is difficult then will you not go for it?? SCRA exam is not impossible to crack because we and you like people cracked this exam. They are also a human being like us.

If you seem it is difficult GET A NEW CHALLENGE. You have to go for the Question Pattern first. Go to www.upsc.gov.in site for knowing question pattern.

After that you have to practice more and more Model Test Paper for understanding the pattern of question. Also for basic knowledge you have to go for the NCERT books, it makes your base.

Nothing Is Impossible In This World, You can crack the exam If You Try It.

yes it is tough to crack SCRA exam.
because in this exam logical questions are asked.
but practice and hard work make every thing easy.
its syllabus include our 11 and 12th syllabus and for this you must prepare basic concepts.
standard of the question asked in this exam is same as asked in iit jee exam.

dear friend scra is an exam which is conducted by the upsc every year to recruit the students as mechanical engineering students what makes it typical is the amount of vacancies there are very less vacancies and the exam pattern is somewhat similar to the JEE but the difference is that there is also an GK paper which comprises of many subjects like history ,geography etc which makes the exam more difficult so just work hard and get through.All the very best buddy

There is nothing so difficult in scra exam to be cracked.
No, the level of questions don't match the iit level.. However, the level is just board level...

i respect ur views to write scra,the thing is it not so common,i mean only people who r associated with railways r aware abt Scra,although,its awesome.....i have experience of both of them,but i opted for IIT....I got IIT MADRAS....i would advice u to set Scra as ur 2nd option,3rd option Aieee, ......1st option obviously its IIT JEE....All 3 exams r similar to eachother...just in case of scra u need to be aware of basic Gk,reasoning etc(its easy)....last but not the least,prepare for only Iit jee to the fullest,if u can do ur best in this exam u can definitely do best in other two,even though if u couldnt do good in other two after clearing jee(rare case), there will be an Iit tag waiting for u........All the best...!!!!

but in scra you have to know the basics of GK

ya it may be easy for some but

it is advisable to keep it in you 2nd option

if you are giving IIT-JEE

IIT-JEE will be your 1st option

yes it is very difficult to crack scra. i am a student of iit delhi, my friend who cleared written exam but did not qualify in interview or personality test whatever. he is in top 5 student of civil engg dept. got 97.6% in class 12th cbse board exam and all india rank under 1300( 1200 something) in iit- jee 2011. however circumstances differ as he didn`t prepared very well like iit-jee for scra exam but i think the syllabus is 90% same. so in my view the better option is complete ur graduation go for upsc IES exam then you will get the same designation as after completing engineering through scra.
