Would diabetes be a hindrance in my selection to IAS (Indian Administrative Service)?

Hi, I am 24 and I have got type II diabetes since the last 2 years and I wish to appear for IAS. I am pretty confident about passing through the written exams, but I am really worried about my medical fitness report since I heard that recently one candidate was declared medically unfit for the IAS and he had to seek PMOs help, the result of which still is not known. Can anyone please guide me through?Would diabetes be a hindrance in my selection to IAS?

According to my knowledge i don't think that your diabetic problem is going to be any problem for your selection in civil services.

So you can apply for it..
