    yes my dear friend you are eligible for giving the IAS exam as the eligibility for giving the IAS exam is that you need to be a graduate in any stream from a recognized indian university and your age should be in between 21-30 years. A relaxation of 3 years is given to the obc candidates whereas the relaxation of 5 years is given to the sc/st candidates
    and as the mechanical engineering is also agradaution course you are eligible for giving the exam

    Yes,definitely you are eligible for Indian Administrative Services(IAS) examination for being a B.Tech candidate.

    ELIGIBILITY FOR IAS:

    -> Minimum educational qualification for a candidate must be graduation or any equivalent degree of it.

    -> Final year students of the above degree can also apply.

    -> Minimum age of the candidate must be at least 21 years as on 1st August of the year of exam.

    Age relaxation of 3 years is given for OBC. 5 years for SC/ST and 10 years for Physically Disable.5 years age relaxation is given for residence of Jammu and Kashmir.

    -> Indian citizens and subject of Nepal or Bhutan and Tibetan refugee who are India before 1st January 1962 can also apply.

    -> Generals can attempt four times, OBC and Physically disables can attempt maximum seven times,no restriction for SC/ST.

    RECRUITMENT PROCESS IN IAS:

    # Civil Service Aptitude Test.

    IAS examination is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission) every year.


    The eligibility criteria required for the IAS examination are prescribed as below:-

    * Final year contenders are also eligible.

    Dear friend,IAS exam is conducted by UPSC . And to appear in IAS exam you should be graduate from any recognized university,it doesn't matter whether you graduate from B.tech,B.Sc or any other.You must be Indian.And also satisfy the age limit criteria of this exam.Good luck

    Dear There,

    You are eligible for IAS examination if you are in the final year of B.Tech or completed B.tech from recognized college/university.

    The other eligibility you must fulfill for the examination are as follows:

    * Age must be in between 21 - 30 years if you belong to general category.

    21-33 years if you belong OBC category

    21-35 years if you belong to SC/ST category.

    * Citizenship - Indian.

    * Fitness - Mental and physical fit

    Hai,Yeah yes, A B.tech completed candidate is eligible for IAS(Indian Adminstrative Service) exam. UPSC conducting this exam every year once only. Eligibility details:-The applicant should be complete bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognized university.Final year graduates are also applicable.Percentage is not important.Applicant should be a citizen of India.Age criteria:-Minimum--> 21 years,Maximum--> 30years.Relaxation:3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.Selection procedure:-Preliminary exam,Mains exam,Personal interview.Best of luck.

    You
    must have completed the B.TECH graduation to be eligible

    Final year candidates are also eligible to appear for the exam


    THE DEGREE CAN BE OF ANY CLASS ( Distinction , First and Second e.t.c, )

    You must have attained the age of
    " 21 " years

    And not more than
    30 years


    Maximum age limit could be as follows for various category students ::

    <> General Category --- 30 years

    <> Other Backward Classes --- 33 years

    <> Scheduled Casted / Scheduled Tribes --- 35 years

    <> Blind , Deaf ..handicapped --- 40 years



    So you must hold ant Bachelor Degree in Any Discipline from any Recognized university

    you should have a degree from any recognised university.
    you should have an age limit of 21 upto august 1 of year you want to take exam.
    you must be a citizen of India for IAS & IPS.

    Dear friend,

    Yes you are eligible for IAS exam being a B.Tech Candidate.

    Infact you do not need to appear for an IAS EXAM Instead It is known as civil Services examination.

    The exam is conducted by UPSC once in a year and in stages:-

    1. Written exam

    2. Mains exam

    3. Interview

    If you fulfill the eligibility criteria required for the exam then you are eligible for the exam.

    Then It does not matter that either you have done B.Tech or any other graduation course.

    You just need a Graduation degree to appear for the exam.

    And B.Tech is a Graduation degree, so nothing to worry about this.

    HERE IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA REQUIRED FOR THE EXAM:-

    1. You must have completed your graduation from a recognised university.

    2. Any stream candidate who have completed their graduation or are in final year can appear for the exam.

    3. Even percentage doesnot matter here. You just need to have passed in the examination.

    4. You must be an Indian candidate.

    AGE LIMIT:-

    Dear friend yes you are eligible to apply IAS exam after passing B.Tech from a recognized University.

    Because for apply IAS exam the minimum Education qualification is Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

    IAS exam is conducted by UPSC under Civil Services exam.

    Eligibility criteria:-

    Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

    Candidate should be completed Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized University.

    Yes surely you can apply for the civil services examination after the completion of the BTECH and there is no doubt regarding the same as the educational qualification itself says that a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for the Civil services examination.
    So no one can say that you cannot apply for the same.
    If you want to go for this then you need to fill the eligibility criteria for the civil services examination which is as follows-
    Eligibility criteria for the Civil services examination-
    Age should be 21 to 30 years of age.
    Graduation in any discipline from a recognised university can apply for the same.
    Age relaxation for the civil services examination is as follows-
    SC/ST 5 years.
    OBC 3 years.
    Ex servicemen 5 years.
    Disabled defence officer in army during war for commissioned officer 3 years of age relaxation.
    Examination pattern-
    CSAT stands foir the civil services aptitude test which is the first stage of the examination. It consist of 2 papers and both general studies of 400 marks total.
    MAINS examination is if you qualify the examination CSAT then called for the Mains examination.
    There will be 9 papers of 2000 marks .
    By qualifying the same candidates are called for the interview.
    Interview consist of 300 marks.

    Btech candidates are definately eligible for IAS.

    Eligibility Criteria

    The candidate must be an Indian National.
    Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or passed in any stream of education from a recognised University.
    Age limit to apply for IAS/IPS examination is
    21-30 years for GENERAL
    21-33 years for OBC
    21-35 years for SC/ST
    The number of attempts for IAS/IPS examination are
    4 times for GENERAL category
    7 times for OBC category


    The selection is through three phases:-

    CSAT - Civil Service Aptitude Test - Preliminary Exam comprises of objective type questions.
    Civil Service Main Exam comprises of subjective type questions from prescribed syllabus.
