IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. IAS examination is also known as Civil Services Examination. The Union Public Service commission conducts the examination every year. Civil Services Examination is one of the prestigious and tough examination conducted on national level.

Now, as you said your date of birth is 27th of March 1993 and you want to take IAS examination next year then you can apply for the exam as you fulfill the age eligibility criteria for this examination which is 21 years. But only age eligibility criteria is not enough to be eligible to apply for the examination. You must have to fulfill the other eligibility criteria set by the UPSC as well.

The other eligibility criteria are as follows:

* Candidate with minimum Graduation in any stream from any recognized college / university.

* Candidate must be a citizen of India.

* Age of candidate must be in between 21 - 30 years if belong to General category.
