Can a final year diploma student fill IES application form?

I am final year mechanical egg. diploma student ...can i fill IES form....

Sorry to say that Diploma candidate are not applicable for IES exam .

If you have completed Engineering course then also you are applicable for IES exam OR If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

So first completed the degree which is above mentioned .

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate

c)electronics and communication engineering
d)electrical engineering

Diploma is considered to be equivalent to intermediate level,a degree in B.TECH is necessary to apply for IES.

UPSC restricts in its eligibility for CIVIL SERVICES, IES is one of the part of Civil Services.The IES eligibility is as under:-

UPSC IES ELIGIBILITY:-

Education: Any Graduate in engineering from the branches Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics and communication engineering. can get the eligibility to write UPSC IES(Indian Engineering Services).

Age: General: 21-30 years, relaxations for OBC: 3 years, S/C S/T: 5 years, PWD: 10 years.

Nationality: Indian.

Attempts: S/C S/T: No limit, OBC: 7 attempts, General: 4 attempts, needed to clear IES/IAS/IPS/IRS and so on.(Civil Services).

Diploma holder cannot apply for the IES examination because it is clearly written in the notification that bachelor degree in in engineering is required to apply for the IES examination so never try to fill the form if you are a diploma holder.
Make sure age required for the same is 21 to 30 years of age,
Examination pattern must be like this-
paper 1 part a general english and part b general studies.
Paper 2 and 3 objective type based on the subjects of the candidates.
paper 4 and 5 conventional type.
total marks 1000.
personality test 200 marks.

The full form of the IES is Indian Engineering services and it is also called engineering services examination.It is one of the most suitable UPSC exam for the engineers conducted once every year.

The eligibility criteria for the IES exam is :

>>You must have done your bachelor'd degree in any discipline of engineering from a recognized university .Final year engineering candidates are also eligible for the exam.

>>If you have master's degree in mathematics ,physics etc then also you can give this exam.

For candidates who are not from the core branch of engineering will have to give exam in the given four branches only:

1.Civil engineering

Since you are diploma final year candidate ,so you are not eligible for the IES exam.First of all do your bachelor's degree in engineering /technology then only you can give the exam.You can go for the LEET exam which will directly admit you in second year of engineering.

i am extremely sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for IES exam. In IES(Indian Engineering Services exam) you must have completed or appearing in final year of Engineering degree(B.E/B.Tech) in any stream. so first of all you have to go for B.E/B.Tech if you want to write IES exam.

you should have to write IES exam in any stream from the following list of streams:
1. Mechanical Engineering
2. Electrical Engineering
3. Civil Engineering
4. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

for IES your age should be within 21 years to 30 years on 1 January of the year of exam. there is also relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

I am very sorry to announce that before completing your graduation from a govt recognized university you will not be eligible for the same. because there is no any examination or post for diploma holders which is recruited by upsc .

so if you wish to become a part of Indian engineering services then you have to complete your graduation first and fulfill all the other requirements for the examination ,

see the other requirements for the examination so that you can prepare for the same

eligibility required:-

1. you must be a candidate of India because only Indians are allowed to give the examination..

2. you must have an engineering degree from a govt recognized university in any trade.

age criteria:

1. it is strictly required for the examination that the candidate must be in between 221-30 yrs .

and for obc and sc/st category age relaxations of three and five years are provided as per govt. norms.

Restriction:

yes there is a restriction of branches.

ie:- you have to give the examination in one of the following four branches even if you had done your engineering in any other branch.

see the branches in which you are allowed to give the paper.

& electrical engineering.

& mechanical engineering.

& civil engineering.

& electronics and telecommunication engineering.


so if you have a strong desire to join this service than your first priority should be to complete your graduation degree under your age criteria and than you can think about the examination.

Sorry , to say that you are not eligible for IES exam.

For that exam candidates should be graduate in engineering from any recognized university and also can apply in the last year of engineering graduation.

For that exam No restriction of height and percentage .

Your age must be under 21-30 years .
3 years of age relaxation for BC candidates and 5 years of age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

yes my dear friend, you are eligible for giving the IES examination being into the final year of engineering
for giving the IES examination, you need to follow up the following eligibility criteria
you need to be a graduate from a recognized indian university in any of the following streams of engineering
1. Mechanical engineering
2. Electrical engineering
3. Civil engineering
4. ECE
Moreover the age for giving the exam is that you should not be less than 21 years and not more than 30 years.
There is a relaxation given to the obc and the sc/st category.
3 years relaxation for the obc category and 5 years for the sc/st category

Diploma Engineering is not the required qualification for Engineering Services examination. Degree in Engineering is the required qualification for Engineering Services examination.

So if you are thinking that you will apply for this exam on the basis of Diploma then it is not possible. Diploma and Degree are different qualifications. They can't be equivalent to each other so either complete degree or look for Diploma level government jobs.

Engineering services exam is conducted by UPSC every year and the recruitment is done in the following Engineering Services.

I am so sorry that you cannot apply for the IES exam being a final year diploma candidate.

The educational eligibility criteria for the IES is to have a B.Tech/B.E degree in any stream.

The diploma is recognized equivalent to the 12th level certificate and thus you cannot apply for the IES.

You should first complete your diploma and then apply for Lateral Entry Scheme so that you get a direct admission in the 2 year of the B.Tech course.

The B.Tech final year candidates are eligible to apply for the IES exam thus you will be eligible to apply when you will be in the 4th year of your B.Tech course.

But the candidates needed to apply for IES in any of the following streams:-

>>mechanical

>>civil

>>elctrical

>>ECE.

Sorry friend,
but as per eligibility criteria fixed by UPSC for appearing in IES examination you are not eligible to appear for IES examination.

The educational criteria for appearing in IES examination is that candidate must have passed graduation in engineering from any govt. recognized university.

Since diploma is not graduation, so you are not eligible to appear in IES examination.

it looks like you don't here about the examination before this so here i must tell you that this exam is not for the diploma holders ,infect there is no any exam conducted by upsc for diploma holders .

so you are not eligible to wright for the INDIAN ENGINEERING SERVICES EXAMINATION.

this exam is for those candidates who completed there engineering course bachelor degree with a government recognized university.
not for diploma holders.
so my advice is that if you want to become an engineer by this examination than you have to take admission in engineering and have to complete it and after that you can think about the same or you should try in other fields..

#Age requirements:-


the age required for the examination is in between 21-30 years.
