Degree obtained by distance education/open university is also eligible if the university is a recognized university

Age limit

General 21-30 years

Civil Services Examinationis conducted by UPSC every year for the recruitment of candidates for the postof IAS, IRS, IPS. Friend you cannot appear for Civil Services Examination without completing graduation.

1 Age limit -21 to 30 years.

2 Education qualification-graduation in any field from any recognized university.

Candidates from general category can appear in this exam four times while candidates of OBC category can apply for seven times and ST/SC candidates can apply for unlimited times.

Civil Service Exam is conducted by UPSC in May once a year.

AGE LIMITS:

>>The age of candidate must be between 21 to 30 years.

>>Also there is relaxation provided to some reserved categories as per govt. rules.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:

>>The candidate must complete his/her graduation degree from any recognized university.

The preliminary exam consists of two papers of Objective type:

>>General Studies Paper 1 : 200 Marks

>>General Studies Paper 2 : 200 Marks

After passing Preliminary exam the candidate have to appear in CS Main Exam.

Main exam is of 2300 marks.

Written exam of 2000 marks.

Interview Test of 300 marks.

No you cannot apply for civil services exam before you complete your graduation as only graduates from recognized university can apply for it.

I am sorry friend but without completing graduation you can not appear in the Civil Service exam.

To apply for the Civil Service exam you must follow the following criteria:

Candidates should be graduated in any stream from recognized university or its equivalent.

Your age should be 21 to 30 years.

Reserve categories will also get the age relaxation.

You must be the citizen of India.

So friend you don�t satisfy its eligibility criteria and can�t apply for the Civil Service exam.

Dear,
Yes you can apply, But you will have to bring the results of all the semester during the interview.
That means if you are in the Final Yr of your graduation then only you are eligible else not. So if you are in graduation, you have to complete your graduation by the interview.

1. If you are in your starting year of graduation or even in 2nd year then you are not eligible for the exam. and if you sit for the exam then your attempts would be wasted and would be of no use.

2. Now If you are in your last sem or last year then you are for sure eligible for the civil services exam.

I think you must have understood these 2 cases.

So friend if you are in your starting years then wait for your last year graduation, till then continue your preparation for the exam,

so that you have a good chance of clearing your exam in the first attempt as this is a very tough exam and you need a lot of hard work and thorough preparation for the exam.

Here below are the eligibility conditions for the exam:-
