Re: Can I apply for UPSC exam while pursuing f.y. B.Com?
No my friend , you can not apply UPSC exams like civil service exam , IES exam , Custom officer exam on the basis of only HSC qualification .
Because the requirement for the above exam is below :
Education qualification .
-> one should done their graduation from any recognized university .
or
-> if anyone in the final year of graduation then also one can eligible for giving the exam .
Age criteria :
21-30 for general cast
21-33 for obc cast
21-35 for sc/st cast
21-35 for ex-serviceman
21-40 for physically handicapped .
So currently you are in first year of graduation so that you can't eligible for the exam .
You have to wait till the final year of your graduation when you are eligible for the exam .
But on the basis of HSC you can give the NDA exam .
The criteria for the NDA exam is below :
-> one should pass the 12th from any recognized board .
-> Age should be between 16.5 - 19 years .
-> only unmarried male candidates are eligible .
So if you fulfill the above criteria then you can give the NDA exam .
But for the other exams you have to wait till you become graduate till you can prepare for the exam .
